Whiteley House
Whiteley House is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection and provides 24 hour nursing care for 63 people and personal care (residential care) for 24 people.
All our care staff are highly trained, 50% have gained a minimum NVQ Level 2 with many achieving NVQ Level 3 or above. The Registered Nurses are trained in care of the older person, palliative and end of life care, and supervise and support our care staff.
The great appeal of Whiteley House is that it allows people to remain within the familiar surroundings of the village, close to friends and often a partner, despite having reached the point where they can no longer cope independently. Care is provided 24 hours a day, in a safe and peaceful environment, by a highly skilled, trained team of Registered Nurses and Care Assistants.
The Care Team promotes person centered care, enhancing independence, choice, dignity and privacy. Fostering each individual’s potential to enjoy a fulfilling quality of life, the pursuit of individual interests and participation in Whiteley Village social activities and clubs is encouraged. Family and friends are always welcome and there are no set visiting hours.
Whiteley House is a Member of the Registered Nursing Home Association, and has achieved the ‘blue cross’ and’ Investors in People’ quality awards. The Commission for Social Care and Inspection regulates our high standard of care and service.
Whiteley House is also open to people from outside the village whose fees are paid by Social Services. As a charity we are able to keep our fees to a minimum. We are also able to accept those who pay for their own care.
